LPG not only for a car

Use of liquified petroleum gas in power suppling of engines is not only sphere of motor industry. This ecologic and cheap fuel can be used in power suppling of engine boats.

This solution is very popular among island countries, such as Malta, where cruising units play important role in transport. To convert engine for LPG use, there are applied the same components as for car engines. Some parts require adjustments to specified characteristics of the boat engines, which is work of specialized workshops. The only disadvantage is 10 -15% power loss at high speed especially under load. At cruising speeds the power loss is negligible. Nevertheless it is more economic solution than petrol.
